Position Type: Volunteer position

Time Investment: An average of 2-3 hours per week & One council meeting per month

Location: East Central Pennsylvania, Pottsville (area), PA 17964

Position Supervision:  Council Coordinator, Executive Director, NCEI Board

Department: Human Resources

Term: Yearly Review. Appointed by National Center for Equality and Innovation Board

Duties: Council Leader is responsible for setting and monitoring the goals of the local NCEI Council, running meetings, appointing committee chairs and delegating tasks as necessary, recruiting, training and retaining members and maintaining regular communication with the Council Coordinator for their state.

• Provide supportive leadership.
• Preside over meetings.
• Develop and maintain programming.
• Perform council administration.
• Recruit and retain volunteers.
• Train and educate.
• Plan strategy and set goals.

 Additional Position Information: This is a vital position in providing our services to the area, sustainability, and development of a Field Office and shelter campus location in Pottsville PA, Schuylkill County.
